Online Concert Report 6

Q For your last online concert report, you get to watch this more contemporary concert. I would argue that most artists we listen to on a daily basis will have a short lived blip in the course of human history and evolution. There are, however, some artists that I believe to have pushed our society forward and that have contributed to the advancement of the human civilization. Watch this concert of Michael Jackson. There is no doubt that he was an incredible performer and he has been thrown back into the spotlight in light of the recent documentary released about things he did outside his musical career. Do you feel the use of modern devices(lights, sound, special effects) adds to a concert experience, or do you feel this is an unnecessary addition to the idea of a music "concert." Should we evaluate an artists' output when we discover that their personal character is seriously flawed? How do we weigh these things; do we erase all of his songs from our memory, or do we still listen even though they are charged with doing appalling things? Do you feel that his music will be remembered in 50 years? 100 years? Include these viewpoints in your final online report. Link (Links to an external site.) Your paper must be two pages long. These pages MUST be the following or you will receive a failing grade: 1. Times New Roman font 2. 12pt. font 3. Margins no larger than 1 inch 4. Double spaced lines. 5. Only your name at the top of the paper; no other heading. In addition, you are NOT allowed to using the verb ‘is’, or any variation of it. Meaning you can NOT use the following “is, are, was, were, has, have, had”. Each time you use one of these, you will be dropped one letter grade off of your final grade. (I’m very serious about this)

The performances of musical acts also evolve depending on the preferences of the audience. In modern civilization, concerts should be considered a method of experiencing a thrilling performance by top musical artists. Nevertheless, artists, at times, face critique due to their controversial living standards. An example of an artist that faced critique due to their controversial living includes Michael Jackson.
